Sunnah Qiraah For Friday Prayers

What is the Sunnah Qirā’ah for the Friday prayers?

There are three combinations narrated from the practice of the Prophet (saw) (Muslim, 877). Firstly, Sūrah 62 (Jumu`ah) and Sūrah 63 (Munāfiqūn). Secondly, Sūrah 62 (Jumu`ah) and Sūrah 88 (Ghāshiyah). Thirdly, Sūrah 87 (A`lā) and Sūrah 88 (Ghāshiyah). It is Sunnah to recite a complete Sūrah in each Rak`ah and reciting it partially will not fulfil the Sunnah. The great scholar Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah writes, “It is not desirable to recite a portion from each Sūrah or split one Sūrah in two Rak`aat as it contradicts the Sunnah and the ignorant persist on this”. (Zādul-Ma`ād 1:381)
