Is the Ahmadiyyah Sect Muslim?

We were told in college that the Ahmadiyyah is a Muslim sect. Is this true?

Muslim Scholars across the world have unanimously agreed that the Ahmadiyyah, otherwise known as the Qadiyanis, are not Muslims. This is because, among many reasons, the founder of this group denied the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to be the seal of Prophets. Allāh the Almighty says, “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but the messenger of Allāh and the seal of Prophets” (Surah Ahzab) It is a set Islamic principle that a person who denies the foundation principles of Islām and a verse of the Holy Quraan, does not remain a Muslim, though he may continue to offer his prayers throughout his life and act as a Muslim. (Radddul-Muhtār, 1:561; Ikfārul-Mulhideen, p. 17) This sect is increasingly deceiving Muslims across the globe by portraying themselves as Muslims and in reality turning them away from Islam, and it is every Muslim’s duty to warn others of this dangerous group.
